Occurence
Stain on the surface of the clear coat
Causes
The acid in the droppings can penetrate the varnish and cause damage ranging from minor stains to deep damage reaching bottom layer
Prevention
- Remove droppings as soon as possible
- Regularly protect the paint film with suitable products
- Avoid parking under trees
Removal
- Cover with wet paper and leave for a few minutes. Remove paper and wash off droppings
- Stains can be removed by polishing the damaged area or, in the case of severe damage, by sanding and repainting.
