Causes
Alkaline insect residues combined with substrate, atmosphere
Prevention
- Wash off immediately with water or a mild detergent.
- Protect by regular waxing
Removal
- Remove minor damage by polishing
- Larger contaminated areas must be sand down to substrate and repainted.
